Adonai Christian Academy

At Adonai Christian Academy we offer not only preschool but elementary, middle and high school.  As an ACSI school we focus greatly on our curriculum and meeting the standards that our students need to excel and advance on to higher learning.

Our educational levels focus on:

Elementary:

• Multi-sensory approach
• Emphasis on phonics, math and language

Middle:

• Continued emphasis on writing and math
• Increased focus on scientific applications and experiments

High School:

• College prepatory curriculum
• focus on science and classical literature

Achievement Test:

Grades K-8 will be given a nationally standardized achievement test each spring.  A copy of the results will be laced in the students' permanent file.  An additional copy will be sent to parents.

Report Cards and Progress Reports:

All students (PreK- 12) will be issued reports cards every none weeks, or quarterly.  Report cards are signed by a parent/guardian and returned within three days.

State of North Carolina Required Exams:

All Eighth graders are required to take and successfully pass the North Carolina Computer Proficiency Exam.                                                                   All Ninth graders are required to take the North Carolina Competency Exam in Math and Reading.                                                                                             These exams will be administered yearly.  Upon unsuccessful completion of one or all parts, these exams may be taken each spring until mastery is achieved.  The successful completion of these exams and other qualifying factors are required by the State of North Carolina for graduating with a diploma.

North Carolina High School Graducation Requirements

• English....................................................................................4 credits
• Mathmatics(one unit of Algebra 1, and two electives)............3 credits
• Science(Physical Science, Biology, and an elective)................3 credits
• Social Studies(Econ/Law/Gov't, World Studies, US History)....3 credits
• Foreign Language..................................................................2 credits
• Health and Physical Education...............................................1 credits
• Electives................................................................................12 credits

Adonai offers a Classical Arts Program which includes but not limited to ALL N.C. State Requirements.
